I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I have experienced healing in my own life, from Jesus. Counseling can be helpful to everyone. Faith counseling can be healing for everyone. What I cannot do on my own, God can do through me for you.
God says “ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
You are not interested in counseling with me by coincidence. God has chosen you to experience healing, blessings, security, love, restoration etc. God knows, I will listen to Him and lead you ( your family, or marriage ) into His healing, His blessings, His love, His security, His joy, His peace. All of these come from Him.
John 10:10 says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” Jesus tells us here that He came to earth so that we may live abundantly. He wants that for us, for you, for your children, for your spouse. Let me help you discover how to live life abundantly !!
I will recognize the issues that need to be resolved, provide a treatment plan, and work with each client to resolve the issues all while pointing to Jesus, and following His word.
Romans 12: 12 says Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. We recognize in God’s word that the world we live in is counter cultural to how God wants us to live, or more accurately, how God designed for us to live happily and abundantly. Our culture often does not encourage marriages to stay together, families to be restored, humility and honor to be valued, or even acknowledge your priceless worth. Many of the issues that I see clients for have grown bigger, or deeper from living in “ this world”. I have found that faith counseling, is the most healing, successful way to provide counseling. It uses a supernatural power ( God) whose plans for our lives are infinitely more than we could ever ask for or imagine ( Ephesians 3: 20).
There are two different kinds of Christian Counselors. Ones that have a faith, but practice secular therapy. The other kind is a Christian Counselor who uses the clinical training and Christian values, God’s word and God’s teaching for client’s treatment. I am the second kind. I’ve been clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral ( change thoughts & behavior follows ), Emotion Focused ( find insight, uncover what lies beneath emotions, behaviors and build from there ), Jungian ( unconscious acts out within us, archetypes, acceptance of self and grow towards God ), Bowen ( look at family as a system, not just one person as a problem, genograms help identify family systems ) Client Centered ( therapist provides the client with unconditional positive regard, showing empathetic understanding to the client), Narrative ( changing one’s story through self narration ), Play ( child therapy ) and Art ( healthy expression) Therapy. I will use my training along with all I know about the bible to provide therapy that is in line with the word of God, always. I believe that God trains each of us, and choses each of us to do great things for His Kingdom. I believe that I am answering God’s calling to help people go to Him. I see Christian Counseling as a way for God to use me as a conduit for the Holy Spirit’s work in fulfilling God’s will.

1 Peter 2:9 YOU ARE CHOSEN ! God has chosen you, before birth, had you name written on His hand and already knew the wonderful things you would be and do. So breathe, it’s all going to be ok. You have a path to take. I hope to get the opportunity to help you the path God has chosen for you.
